Kim Hammer

I’m thrilled to be the Community Director of Ladies Lifestyle Network (LLN) Virginia Beach! I moved to VB during COVID and have spent the last couple of years exploring this amazing city and all it has to offer. I love sharing our LLN community with the fantastic women who live here.

About Me
I grew up in Ohio and attended Ohio Wesleyan University and the University of Cincinnati College of Law. After law school, I moved to Pittsburgh, where I met my husband, Ted. We have twin sons, Blake and Trent, and we moved to Virginia Beach in November 2020.

Professional Life
I work for Mercy Chefs, a Portsmouth, VA-based non-profit organization that provides food to people in need as part of disaster relief efforts and combats food insecurity both domestically and internationally. As the Advancement & Legacy Giving Specialist, I help secure funding for the incredible meals that Mercy Chefs serves. Recently, I traveled to Honduras with Mercy Chefs
donors to witness the transformative impact of community kitchens that our donors helped create. These kitchens are truly life-changing!

Professional Involvement
Outside of my job, I am active in several professional fundraising organizations, such as the Hampton Roads Gift Planning Council and the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Hampton Roads. I also participate in networking organizations like BizConnect and 757 Connect.

Personal Interests
In my free time, you’ll find me walking our mini-golden doodle, Grace, cooking, playing pickleball, golfing, and gardening. I enjoy bringing homemade cakes and other treats to neighbors and church members who need a little TLC. I’m an avid podcast listener, especially Mel Robbins.

Passion for Connection
I love connecting people and building strong networks. LLN is a community focused on empowerment and growth, professional and personal networking, and building female friendships through events and online presence. I look forward to embarking on this journey with all of you!
