Have you been considering making a positive (life-simplifying) change to your everyday look!? Search no further than my girl Courtney of Blondie Brows in Burlington, NC! She works magic to enhance the natural features of your face.
My personal experience was with permanent makeup of the eyebrows, however, she offers lip blushing too! Don't let the name dissuade you, she isn't limited to working with just blondes...if you are brunette or have red hair, ask her if you're an ideal client. Working with Courtney was amazing! She is so professional, knowledgeable, and personable as well. I was reassured by her confidence and passion for the work that she does! Leading to my appointment she answered all of my questions...and I had quite a few, considering this was a first for me. She provided all information from pre-care and post-care instructions to the 'not likely, but could happens' and everything in between.
Before meeting, Courtney took the time to learn about my skin-type and made a professional recommendation for ombre powder brows over microblading. During the appointment in-person she was meticulous and spent quality time mapping out my shape while allowing me to be critical about the design, color, and nature of the brows. I wanted them to be as similar in shape and size to my natural brows as possible. I also preferred them to match my hair color. She accommodated everything; the color was customizable so she mixed two serums together to create the perfect match as well. I was so pleased with the entirety of the experience!
The best thing is that I wake up feeling confident that my brows are in order and I can say 'I woke up like this' daily! I was initially worried my husband or kids would have something to say about this change...but to my surprise, they have only admired my face. This is a testament to how natural Courtney created my look, even given the fact I now have permanent makeup! I am in awe of the difference that having nicely shaped & full eyebrows makes my overall appearance. Thank you Courtney!! <3

My "First-Timer" Q&A:
Is permanent makeup comparable to getting a tattoo?
In a way, however, the semi-permanent makeup does not impact the skin as deeply as a traditional tattoo since it is meant to fade out. It is expected to last between 1-3 years.
Is the pre & post-care for both ombre powder & microblading the same?
Yes, the care is the same for both options. Pre-Care instructions are shared well before your appointment and post-care instructions are sent home with you on a card along with treatment ointment.
What does it feel like? Is it painful?
Pain tolerance is different for all; a topical numbing gel is used before and during the process. It might feel like an intense plucking sensation, or like recurring small needle jabs, but I personally wasn't ever in pain.
How long does it take?
The appointment can take 1.5 - 3 hours based on several factors including the length of the mapping session.
What to expect of the healing process before I see final results?
It would be about 6 weeks before the skin is fully healed. Treat them as 'open wounds' for at least 10-14 days following the appointment. Your brows can undergo a bunch of changes between day-of and the healed result. You could experience itching, peeling or flaking, ghosting , etc. The importance is to wash the brows 2x daily and apply the ointment for the first two weeks. Also be sure to keep the brows dry throughout the day as best you can!
