'Turning a Vision Into Reality' Event Recap: An Evening of Empowerment & Authentic Connections

Last night’s Ladies Lifestyle Network - SWFL event at Hopsized Brewery was nothing short of magical! The weather was perfect, allowing us to host an indoor/outdoor experience that made the evening even more special. From the atmosphere to the connections made, it was truly an event to remember.
An Inspiring Message from Angela Melvin
Our Featured Speaker, Angela Melvin, Founder of Valerie’s House, delivered a heartfelt and deeply moving message that resonated with every woman in the room.
Valerie’s House, also our Featured Charity, is the only organization in Southwest and Northwest Florida solely dedicated to helping children grieve. Their mission is to help children and families work through the loss of a loved one together and go on to live fulfilling lives, with a vision that no child will grieve alone.
Angela shared her powerful story—one of loss, resilience, and purpose—and how she turned personal tragedy into a mission to help others.
She spoke about how life didn’t go as planned, but by sharing her story and speaking her vision out loud, unexpected doors opened—ones she never dreamed possible.
Angela reminded us all of the importance of perseverance, self-care, and owning our unique journeys. She emphasized that everyone has a story and that sharing it has the power to create impact and open doors.
Tears were shed, hearts were touched, and the support in the room was palpable. Women embraced vulnerability, connection, and empowerment in a way that made this night truly unforgettable.
A Night of Beauty, Sweet Treats & Community
We were honored to have incredible vendors who added the perfect touch to the night: 🌸 Dottie Jean’s Flower Truck provided stunning bouquets and decor, bringing elegance and warmth to the space.
🍫 Nik Nak’s Sweet Snaks spoiled us with delicious pink chocolate-covered caramel pretzel sticks—so good they almost didn’t make it home! (My 7-year-old and I are still in negotiations over the last one! 😂)
The Power of Real Connections
One of the most beautiful parts of the evening? The connections made. We welcomed so many new faces, heard endless expressions of gratitude, and felt the energy of women truly enjoying the night.
We even had attendees who had just come from a traditional networking event—suited up, card-passing style—only to experience something completely different at LLN. They shared how they loved the authenticity, the connections, and the energy they felt in this space. And the best part? EVERY. SINGLE. WOMAN. I spoke with said they couldn’t wait to come back! 💕

Island Vibez Grill food truck graciously waited until the last person left the building, a.k.a me and I was so glad! These event work up an appetite and their jerk chicken and sauces were amazing! Even brought a homemade cheesecake home for my husband!
